Our Story
A remarkable journey that led to the discovery of an ancient alpine aquifer beneath Victoria's highest mountain.
A New Beginning
A keen surfer from Victoria's coast moved to the Victorian Alps and purchased a small farm near Mount Beauty, in the Kiewa Valley, at the foot of Mount Bogong.
The Discovery
An experienced water diviner walked the property and identified where to drill. A bore was sunk to 120 metres, revealing an extraordinary alpine aquifer.
Ancient Geology
Geological studies revealed the water originates from an ancient volcanic system more than 400 million years old and is naturally filtered through layers of rock.
The Meaning of Kiewa
The name Kiewa is widely understood to derive from a First Nations word meaning Sweet Water.
Why Three Valleys?
The Kiewa Valley lies between the Ovens Valley and Mitta Mitta Valley, a significant part of Victoria's alpine region.
Building Three Valleys
Infrastructure was established to protect the source, store the water and transport it for bottling.
Three Valleys Today
Today, Three Valleys is shared across hospitality, premium retail, private label and future export channels.
